Full Description
{1} Two Wellington bombers collided and crashed on the 13th July 1944 in the field behind Brierly Farm, East Farndon. Aircraft remains have been found during ploughing of the field over the years. The aircraft had taken off from 14 OTU RAF Market Harborough and were only five minutes into their flight. Each had a crew of two and all were killed in the collision. Two locations provided by the Harrington Aviation Museum presumably relate to each of the aircraft.
