Full Description

{1} Owners from 1867 The Dean & Chapter pf Peterborough Cathedral and from 1870 Butlin Bevan & Co.Ltd., the quarry closure is in about 1872. The exact location is not known but there can be little doubt that the quarries are an extension of Manor Farm Quarries. The tramway from the site was connected to the Midland Railway line and another tramway went under this rail line heading straight south to a wharf on the River Nene. There was no direct connection to the LNWR line just the other side of the river. There is no record of any closure on the site and it appears to have become part of later quarries. (Irthlingborough or Wellingborough Quarries)
