Full Description
{1} A Roman shaft, pit or well found in digging for ironstone at Wellingborough (SP 8697). The diameter and depth were not recorded but it was "neatly lined with limestone, contained deer-bones and several 'Roman ollae' one perfect".
{2} Price (a) has been checked and I have been unable to find the above reference.
