Summary

Cropmarks of a possible later prehistoric or Roman settlement complex comprising two adjacent rectilinear ditched enclosures, c.70-8m across. One has a second ditch around two sides, the other has a smaller capsule-shaped enclosure attached to the inner NW side. The cropmark traces of medieval ridge and furrow can also be seen throughout both fields containing the enclosures. These enclosures are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme.

{1} Cropmarks of a possible later prehistoric or Roman settlement complex comprising two adjacent rectilinear ditched enclosures, c.70-8m across centred as a group at TL 0892 8230, straddling two fields. One has a second ditch around two sides, the other has a smaller capsule-shaped enclosure attached to the inner NW side. The cropmark traces of medieval ridge and furrow can also be seen throughout both fields containing the enclosures. Further more fagmented enclosures can be seen to the NW within the same field at TL 0848 8244. These enclosures are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme.
