Summary

Archaeological observation identified two sides of a probable rectangular enclosure, four dispersed postholes and a large pit. None of the features contained any dating evidence.

Full Description

{1} Archaeological observation was undertaken during topsoil and overburden stripping across the footprint of seven lagoons and pipeline easements associated with Wakerley Quarry. Two sides of a probable rectangular enclosure, four dispersed postholes and a large pit were found, although none of the features contained any dateable artefacts. The only finds comprised small amounts of degraded animal bone and abraded fired clay.
