Full Description
{1} Area SP 639579. An antiquity, thought to have been of Roman origin, was shown on Pretty's map of 1854 (a). (No other authority is known for this feature and nothing is shown in the area on OS 1st edition 25", 1883. A rectilinear depression, centred SP 640579, is first published in 1952 on OS 6" Provisional Edition).(a)
