A three-storey former shoe factory that has now converted to a shop is reputed to be the original premise of the shoemakers Joseph Cheaney Limited (established in 1886). 68-70 Station Road may have ceased to be a shoe factory in 1896 when Cheaneys moved to their present factory at Rushton Road, Desborough.
