Full Description

{1} Owners unknown but believed to be Glendon Iron Co. as the limestone quarry was reopened on the site of an old ironstone quarry owned by them. The limestone quarry was opened in 1933. These quarries were operated by various owners during and up to the end of WWII with little or no quarrying occurring. At no time during the ironstone and limestone era's was much of a profit gained by any company that worked them.
