{1} [SP 6627 6369] Washington's House [GT]
{2} This was a large, stone cottage, associated with the family of George Washington. In 1961 it was demolished and a pair of semi-detached houses, now named 'Washington Cottages', built on the site.
A front gable was built from the old stone, complete with a plaque from the original building bearing the date 1606 and a religous script. (information from tenant).
