Cropmarks of circular enclosures, pits and part of a pit alignment visible on aerial photographs. May be associated with a scatter of Saxon pottery found in the same location.

Full Description

{1} Cropmarks identified on aerial photography dated 2010 include several circular enclosures or ring ditches, the clearest of which is c31m in diameter. This feature lies adjacent to a pottery scatter dated to the Saxon period. About 70m to the east of the enclosure is a pit alignment, which is aligned NNW-SSE and can be traced for c90m. Further small groups of pits can also be identified. Several large pits are also visible, mainly to the east of the pit alignment, and may be associated with quarrying.
