Full Description

{1} A cropmark circle seen from the air at SP 805713, by R Hollowell of Upper Nene Archaeol Soc in 1967.

{2} Ring ditch, enclosure and ditches (SP 804713), lie in the S of the parish 750m SSE of the church, on Northampton sand at 120m above OD. Air photographs show a ring ditch 30m in diameter, with a large ovoid enclosure attached to its NE side from which a number of ditches extend N and NW.

{4} Cropmark of circles visible at (a) SP 80517130 and (b) SP 8075147.

{6} (a) Under plough and adjacent to a disused quarry. No surface finds or indications of antiquity.
(b) Under roof crop; not perambulated.
© Any former earthwork at this site has been destroyed by ploughing.
