Monument record 8344/0/17 - Ridge and furrow cultivation, north-east of Horn Wood

Two blocks of medieval or post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation, remnants of the former open common field system, are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data. Located in Bozeat parish, the two blocks of ridge and furrow share a general SW-NE alignment. Aerial photographs taken since 2012 suggest that most of the earthworks remain extant.

{1-2} Two blocks of medieval or post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation, remnants of the former open common field system, are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. Located in Bozeat parish and centred at SP 90007 58074, the two blocks of ridge and furrow share a general SW-NE alignment. Aerial photographs taken since 2012 suggest that most of the earthworks remain extant.
