Full Description

{1} The building appears as a L shaped building on all three of the historic maps. No evidence of these exists today. From documentary evidence the building is likely to have been built at a similar time to the stable in the 19th century. The brick and tile floor construction match this period. The building is known as the ‘Old Laundry’ building, but apart from the tile floor, no internal feature relating to its use were seen in the survey. Although it is not in alignment with the stable, it is cut into an earthen bank and may be on its orientation due to ease of construction.
