Trial trenches revealed a pit cluster and ditches that have been tentaively dated to the Iron Age and Roman period.

Full Description

{1} A large pit cluster covering at least 8.5m north-west to south-east and 7.3m north-east to south-east. There were 9 pits identified and ranged in size from 0.46m to 2.25m long, and averaged 0.2m deep. Two sherds of pottery were recovered and are dated to the late Iron Age and Early Roman date. Other features found include ditches and these were undated due to the lack of datable findings.
