Summary

A mid 19th century house that was extended to the right is located on Stamford Road in Collyweston. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and freestone with a double pitch and half hipped Collyweston slate roof with brick chimney stacks at the ridge and on the left gable end. The original building has a three window range of sashes in freestone surrounds to the first floor. Two similar windows flank a central door way on the ground floor. In 1899 the building was extended to the right under a half hipped roof. It has a two window range of sashes to the first floor, above two casements under stone lintels on the ground floor. A doorway is on the far left at the extensions abutment with the earlier range. Also a wooden gabled porch with decorative bargeboards was added at this time with a date of 1899 in the apex of the gable.
