Full Description

{1} The site of a post medieval house that was built in 1732. The building is said to be located on the north western side of the High Street. The house and the associated barn cannot be found due to a poor building File with no images or address details.

{2} A two-storey range built parallel to the street; severely altered in recent years. At the south end was a single-room plan house, south gable being coped and parapetted; a quoin near the ground has the date 1732. To the north was a barn or similar farm building [indexed separately].
These buildings lie in the former plot of the house on the north-west corner of High Street [12?] and as late as 1842 all were in the same ownership. They are probably those described in the Stamford Mercury on 23 Aug 1833 as newly built messuage with part of a barn, 3-stall stable, yard and garden occupied by William Osbourne, and an adjoining tenement occupied by John Baxter.
