Excavations in 2024 revealed a undated pit, remains of a east/west aligned ridge and furrow system as well as two post medieval/modern drainage ditches and other modern disturbances such as wheel ruts.

Full Description

{1} Excavations in 2024 revealed a undated pit, remains of a east/west aligned ridge and furrow system as well as two post medieval/modern drainage ditches and other modern disturbances such as wheel ruts. The single pit exacavated likely represent a lower level of activity within the agricultural hinterland of the known Iron Age and Roman settlement. A small assemblage of pottery were recovered that comprises Late Iron Age/Roman pottery.
