Summary

Built in 1899 by C Dorman in a neo-c1700 style with a hooded doorway, gables and large chimney stacks. There is a decorative band of lettering across the façade reading: P Phipps & Cos Wines Spirits & Ales/The Old White Hart Inn/Ratliffes Stout. Local Heritage List.

Full Description

{2} A building labelled the Old White Hart Inn occupies the southern part of the site in 1885 indicating the existing building replaced an earlier inn.

{3} In 1724 listed on Bridge Street. In 1800 it was up for auction with brew house. It was up for auction again in 1859 with brew house and described as opposite the station.
