Full Description
{1} On 27th February 1944 a Spitfire Mk IXE, serial number MA814 of No 303 Kosciuszko Fighter Squadron based at Coltishall, Norfolk crashed into the Finance Hut at Harrington Airfield. The aircraft was flown by Polish pilot Sgt. Klemens Prusak who was killed on impact. The site of the crash was in the field where the main car park of the museum is now located.
