Summary

Wellington Bomber HF570 of 84 Operational Training Unit (RAF Desborough) crashed on 5th September 1944 during a training flight. Three air crew were killed and three survived.

Full Description

{1} Photographs of memorial.

{2} A stone of remembrance unveiled 15th October 2022. It comprises an unfinished rectangular block of York Stone with a square, polished, black granite plaque on the front face. The plaque bears an inscription to the three aircrew who died in the crash.

{3} The aircraft crashed on the Braybrooke Road between Desborough and Harrington. Provides details of all the aircrew especially Reginald Bryne.
