Full Description

{1} Owners from 1886 James Pain, from 12th September 1905 James Pain Ltd closure in 1912. The quarry commenced a few hundred yards southeast of Weldon & Corby Midland railway station. Initially wagons were pulled by horses but locomotives were later used. The pits were closed in 1912.
