Summary
The Lion Brewery works were established on this site in the 1830s by Thomas Hagger. The buildings were demolished in the latter half of the 20th century and replaced by residential development.

{2} Photograph of the main brewery block in the 1960s.
{3} In 1899, the site is known as the Northampton Brewery Co Ltd (Lion Brewery) and comprises stores, stables and malthouses. Part of the main brewery block at the east end of the site is described as ruinous. Arched beer cellars are noted on the South Bridge frontage.
