Full Description

{1} Owners Lovel & Roseby. Ironstone quarrying is recorded in this area from 1870-74 under the name of this company. As to the location of the quarry the site is not known. It is believed to be in the vicinity of the village on the top of the ridge but there are no present day indication nor sign of the old tramway to show where the quarry might have been.
