Full Description

{1} Two pieces of human skull were handed to the Finds Liaison Officer and examined by Andy Chapman, Northamptonshire Archaeology. The bone was thin and the sutures were unfused indicating the individual was between 5 and 10 years old at death. Though the bone is of some antiquity, as evidenced by the ironstone staining and pitting, it is not possible to provide any more precise dating.
