Summary
Site of the former Unitarian Chapel. The congregation moved here in 1828 and subsequently moved to a new site on Abington Square in 1897. There were seats for 400 people. The building had a number of uses before being demolished as part of the Moat House Hotel development in the early 1970s. No known burial ground.

Full Description
{1} In 1828, a group set up the Unitarian Church in an old Methodist Church in King Street. The congregation moved to the new church on Abington Square in 1897, paid for by Sir Philip Manfield.
{3} Depicted on the 1847 map. Immediately to the west a 'Tabernacle' is marked.
