Full Description

{1} Metal detecting undertaken by the Canals and Rivers Trust ahead of proposed tree planting identified parallel tracks at SP74199 50044 and SP 74208 50065. The tracks were found immediately below the turf and were aligned north-east to south-west.

[HER note: the tram tracks are unlike the cast iron plates used for the Blisworth Hill and are more likely to be associated with later quarrying and/or canalside wharf.]
