Summary

Fieldwalking survey identified a secondary Neolithic/early Bronze Age site. One hundred and fifty six flints were found on unweathered soil.

Full Description

{1} Note in archive: 'Secondary Neolithic/early Bronze Age site located on limestone to the west of Hinton Grounds Farm. 156 flints were found on unweathered soil. Further work is required on and around the site. Most of the scrapers were of Bronze Age date. The burnt flint apart from one came from worked flakes and cores, three were scrapers including two scrapers. One of the scrapers is part of a polished flint axe. A tanged and barbed arrowhead (part of and patinated) was found at SP 5460 3769.'
