{1} House built in the Colonial Georgian style in 1935-6. Designed by Guy Elwes for Gervase Elwes' sister, Maud. It has a weatherboarded façade with tall brick chimneys either side. There is a wide pedimented doorcase. [Pevsner spells it 'Herewyte' but on the entrance it is spelt 'Herewyt']
