Full Description
{1} Probable AA/SL battery represented by 4 earthwork ring ditches, 3 of which contain small sub-rectangular features of undetermined origin. Three of the ring ditches are closely grouped with the fourth located approximately 40m to the north east. All survived as earthworks when photographed. They are identified solely on the basis of their form as identified by P Markham (1996/97) from aerial photographs utilising MORPH (an RCHME National Mapping Programme database). Morph reference numbers are respectively 60 1 1 to 60 1 4 inclusive. The diameter of all four features recorded as being 15m diameter. None of the features has been verified on the ground. AP plotted earthwork plan.
