A significant Saxon pottery scatter was identified during fieldwalking survey in 1981. A Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead was also found.

{1} Find spot, Neolithic Bifacially worked leaf shaped arrowhead + waste flakes and 69 Saxon pottery sherds, 63, body, 6 rims and part of a spindle whorl + cow teeth; apart from arrowhead, all other finds currently unlocated [site known as Brackley, but actually located in Newbottle parish]
