Fieldwalking survey undertaken in 1995 identified a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint scatter. A small group of Roman pottery may indicate settlement in the vicinity.

{1} Find Spot, Late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age flint scatter comprising 1 Transverse Arrowhead (point missing) 2 scrapers, 3 small blades, (1 broken), 4 cores, 41 retouched lakes, 35 waste flakes, 26 burnt flint (20 worked) + 12 grey ware pottery sherds, 1 Roman, 1 possibly of Saxon date and small fragment of calcified bone
