Summary

Fieldwalking survey in 1988 recovered worked flint dating to the Neolithic and Bronze Age and Roman pottery sherds. Possible Saxon pottery was also found. The Roman pottery may be associated with cropmark enclosures observed immediately to the south.

Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking survey undertaken in 1988 identified a Neolithic / Bronze Age flint scatter including retouched blades, end scraper, core scraper, blade cores, waste flakes and small to medium sized RB body sherds and possible Saxon pottery sherds.
