{1} Fieldwalking survey in 1976 found a significant scatter of Saxon pottery indicating former settlement. The pottery scatter comprised 54 sherds, mostly grey/black with grit and mica inclusions (rims, bases and body sherds), some with a brown surface + 1 Bronze object
