Full Description
{1} Painted sign at Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, Irchester Country Park, facing north-east. The sign comprises white lettering on a black rectangular background and bears the inscription 'SOUTH-DURHAM STEEL & IRON Co Ltd' and 'IRCHESTER MINES'. The sign remains in good condition and is legible, although the paintwork is flaking. The structure is currently associated with a railway museum and formerly related to the ironstone workings at Irchester
