Full Description
{1} Painted sign on the east-facing elevation of the two-storey brick building at 1 Gordon Street. The sign comprises black lettering on a white background with a thin black border and an indented-corner rectangular design. The partially legible inscription reads 'PHIP[P'S]', 'NO[TE]D', 'AL[ES] &.' and '[STOUT]'. The sign is poorly legible and has been affected by flaking paintwork, while the lower part is obscured by a modern garage at the end of the terrace. The building has a tiled roof and is currently in residential use as a flat above a barbershop. The sign advertises the products of Phipp's brewery.
