Full Description

{1/2} Fragmentary painted advertisement on the east-facing elevation of a single-storey brick and concrete building at 58 Cattle Market Road, extending to the rear of 123-125 Bridge Street. The surviving sign comprises black and blue lettering on a cream-white background, although most of the original design has been lost through surface damage and later rendering. Only the partial inscription '?ut?ine' remains visible. The sign is poorly legible and has been affected by surface loss, with further sections obscured by later alterations to the building. The structure has a metal roof and is currently used for vehicle rental, having formerly served as a vehicle repair and servicing depot. Historical evidence indicates that the premises were occupied from the early 1930s by Mulliner's, a local coachbuilding and motor engineering firm. The surviving sign may relate to a motor oil or automotive product advertised in connection with the servicing business.
