Full Description

{1} The landowner has advised R. Kings that this field was the site for an Italian POW Camp in WWII. A series of huts were present; these are long demolished though parch marks are reportedly still seasonally visible. In the nearby stable block is some 'religious graffiti' reputedly of Czech origin. Metal detecting has produced some 303 ammunition and associated items.

{2} Bob describes a wall painting being present on the wall of the stables; it is described as a landscape produced by Italian POWs.
