Summary
A deer park was created in Gayton in the mid 13th century, but nothing is known of its later history. It is not known wherther later licence to empark granted in the early 15th century is related to this earlier park.

Full Description
{1} Deer park, created in 1258 by Ingram de Fednes; its later history is unknown. In the early 15th century John Trussel was given permission to empark 300 acres of land in Gayton, called "La Hay", though whether this was connected with the earlier park is uncertain.
{5} Formerly a park and a warren, park now in possession of Mr Monks.
{6} Medieval deer park. 1258 (Cal Chart 1257-1300) Ingram de Fednes, licence to impark.
{7} Medieval deer park, unlocated. Ingram de Fednes enclosed his wood within the bounds of Salcey Forest in 1258. The park was enlarged in C15th by John Trussel who was allowed to add 300 acres provided that the land was not within the metes of the forest.
