A Roman urn was found pre 1845 in removing a seat occupying the north side of the chancel. It was broken up by workmen.

Full Description
{1} In removing a seat occupying the N side of the chancel of the church (SP 495 5081) of Aston le Walls a Romano British urn was found. It was 6" below the surface, of a pale buff colour, covered with a stone and contained nothing. It was broken up by the workman.
Whether the urn is Roman is uncertain. (2)
{3} An urn, described as Roman, was dug up in the north side of the chancel of the church before 1845, but it was destroyed and the suggested date is by no means certain.
{4} Romano-British dating is uncertain.
