Monument record 92/0/5 - Possible Iron Age D-Shaped Enclosure

A possible D-shaped enclosure within which is a soilmark of a possible ocupation layer

{1} Iron Age settlement (?)(SP 745509), in the N of the parish, on Boulder Clay at 112m. above OD. Air photographs (not seen by RCHM) are said to show a D shaped enclosure of about 0.25 hectare, with an
entrance in the NE corner. Iron Age pottery and a scatter of limestone are reported from this site. However, the whole description may be a mislocation of [SP 75 SE 36].


{2} Air photographs (not seen by the RCHM) are said to show a cropmark of a D-shaped enclosure of about 0.25ha. There is an entrance in the north-east corner;
