Full Description

{1} 1) Bronze mount with cast zoomorphic decoration and interlace terminal, with traces of enamel/niello inlay. Late Saxon.
2) Triangular iron mount, corroded. This may be a medieval harness pendant or clapper: the type is most commonly found in bronze, often shield shaped and with psueudo-heraldic decoration, although other variants-square, round etc.-are also fairly common.
3) Stamp distributor (broken). ?terminal of harness mount from which two straps have sprung, attached to metal swivels by shield-shaped studs. Medieval.
6) Solid cast button with integral loop. Probably medieval.
7) Lead button, possibly 17th-18th century.
9) Bronze loop, function uncertain. ?medieval.
10) Corroded lump of Bronze.
