Full Description

{1} 2 pits accompanied by a thin layer of midden deposits which consisted mainly of ash, containing bone, charcoal and potsherds. One pit was circular, the other irregularly shaped. Pottery was described as very coarse and easily crunmbled, rather amorphous like dried mud: suggest Iron Age or earlier V.C.P, burnt daub, clay loom-weights etc.
