Full Description

{1} Stocks in fine condition

{2} No remains of stocks now. Local info says that the "Stocks Oak" tree which stood adjacent to the stocks is at SP5878 3482

{3} Stocks stood at the north east corner of the green.

{4} "The stocks are still standing in the village (Evenley); they are in fine condition." (1)

{5} There are no remains of the stocks. Mr Baggins whose family have lived in the village since the 18c indicated "Stocks Oak", at SP 58783482, as a tree that stood near the stocks
