Full Description

{2} Earthworks and other C18th garden remains covering 1ha. A rectangular area is bounded on three sides by a stone wall. There are remnants of a terraced walk c.0.5m high along the south side in the south-west corner. A 1.5m high scarp runs across the centre of the site. There is a rectangular pond on the east side with stone walling revettment up to 2m high. There are further low scarps up to 1m high. The garden was of typical early C18th style, divided into rectangular compartments, with views over the surrounding countryside.
