Full Description

{1} Find of 1845, unlocated.A drawing of a bronze weapon from Marston Trussell is in the Dryden collection at Northampton Museum. [Probably the same weapon as described in {5}].

{2} A bronze "spearhead" of pre-Roman date found "within the last few years at Farndon" is possibly the same item.

{3} A small bronze dagger of middle Bronze Age was found in the parish in 1845.

{5} "Part of rapier-shaped blade of bronze. Pre-Roman. Marston Trussell. In Northampton Museum."

{6} The small MBA dagger, in Northampton Museum, is the same as that drawn by Sir Henry Dryden. He noted that it was found about 1845 at MARSTON TRUSSELL, but there is no record of the exact locality. [Sketched by Authy].

{7} No further information was gained in field investigation.
