Roman coins and associated material allegedly found prior to 1830, although no information could be found concerning the finds

{1} In a field called Longsmall, in the parish of Everdon (SP 5957) several Roman coins, as well as mortar and ashes, were ploughed up "a few years since". The coins were particularly those of Constantine (306-37) Constantius (337-61) and Magnentius (350-3).

{2} COINS, MORTAR AND ASHES PLOUGHED UP A FEW YEARS BEFORE 1830; FNAME: LONGSMALL.

{3} Unlocated possible Roman settlement. During the C19th Roman coins of Constantine, Constantius and Magnentius together with ashes and mortar were ploughed up in a field called Longsmall. The latter cannot be identified.

{4} 'Longsmall' is not shown on the 'Field name survey (1932)' held by CRO nor did extensive local enquiries locate it. Northampton museum have no information concerning the finds.
