A few 4th century sherds and a Roman metal dagger scabbard found 1960.

{1} Found October 1960

{2} Possibly falls within area of former ironstone workings.

{3} A small quantity of Roman pottery and a metal dagger have been discovered

{4} A few Roman sherds (4th century) and a Roman metal waist dagger scabbard were found at SP 52105460 in October 1960 by Mrs D Beck and remain in her possession. The site falls in a former ironstone working which has now been reclaimed.
