Full Description

{1} The supposed long barrow recorded by Baker at the east end of Daventry Wood Hill was probably either part of the deer park pale (Site 33), or part of the moated site known as John of Gaunt's Castle (Site 32).

{2}"… the route passed between a long barrow and a grove of firs at the end of Daventry Wood Hill".
