The discovery of a skeleton in 1976/7 during a flood relief scheme indicates the possible site of a Roman cemetery for the town of Lactodorum.

Full Description

{2} SP 6938 4846. Immediately south east of the town a skeleton was seen in 1976/7 during the flood relief scheme, presumably indicating a cemetery outside the defended area of the town. (1)
