Full Description
{1} Find made in 1976. Unlocated Romano-British stone capital. Buff shelly medium and uneven grained oolitic limestone. Two cymae rectae bounded each by fillets, a short necking, and below a further upright cyma also bounded by fillets. Abacus has central dowel recess 42mm square, 49mm deep. Lower face of capital rough and apparently broken, but may be an eroded worked face.
